New York Giants Draft Pick Involved in Serious Car Accident

Chad Jones, New York Giants 2010 NFL draft pick, was involved in a serious car accident on Friday, June 25, 2010. The accident left him in critical condition in a New Orleans hospital. Jones, who is only 21 years old, suffered a fractured left leg that exposed arteries and nerves. It was reported that Jones was in surgery at 10:15 am where doctors were trying to restore blood flow back into his foot.
The accident occurred around 6:15am on Friday, but no other details about the car accident have been released. Jones was picked by the New York Giants in 2010 to be a safety and signed a four year contract that is believed to be worth $2.616 million dollars.
